It's a good start for a better check and balance in the system. Malaysians are mature now in their political rights. Hope to see improved governance in our system.
Four major factors contributed to BN's slim victory:
1. Weak leadership
2. Noise by Mahathir
3. The Anwar factors
4. 'Media communism' by BN
My concern is with the Malays. With this new political landscape, Malays need new strategies to re-organise and move forward stronger. Only weak Malays will grief at UMNO's current misfortune. Fortunately, there are more Malays now ready to change and competitively improve themselves.
